PRETTY MUROVE

Pretty mostly handles family and matrimonial matters and advises on all its aspects including contested and uncontested divorce, asset division, child custody, access or visitation, maintenance, adoption, relocation and domestic violence issues. She has represented various families as their family attorney of choice and has assisted them in navigating several family disputes that arise whilst ensuring that the disputes are resolved without the family being torn apart. She is also a registered notary public and conveyancer who assists families with estate planning including preparation of wills and family trusts; asset acquisition and transfer into family trusts and general preservation of family wealth.

In addition to family law, Pretty is an avid and experienced Civil Litigation lawyer who has litigated in a wide range of contentious matters including contractual disputes, mining disputes, debt and asset recovery, delictual claims, eviction matters and employment disputes; representing both corporates and individuals.

Pretty is currently the youngest female partner, having been appointed as Partner in 2022. She is also one of the firm’s Marketing Partners responsible for enhancing the firm’s brand and social media presence, a role she took on in 2023. Pretty obtained her Bachelor of Laws (Honours) Degree from the University of Zimbabwe in 2016 and joined the firm as an Associate in the following year, in 2017. Pretty is passionate about youth empowerment and has served as a member of the Zimbabwe Youth Council Election Committee. She has also served as member of a school board of governors at an Anglican School.
